I really enjoy how you took this concept of a body being a land mass, almost as if to say it is something claimable/conquerable. You may want to consider using some very light washes of pink to change the lighting as that could help to make the sky pop, or even a warm grey. Another thing that comes to my attention (though this may have been intentional) was the size of your people to your trees. Now it may be that the forest houses very old and very large trees, that is up to you. However if it was meant to play off of an average forest it seems to be either your people would be larger or your trees shorter. Then again, this could also be a perspective issue where you may possibly just want to push the forest back. Once again though, this depends entirely on your intentions as an artist. You may want to work on the narrative of the piece as well, only because I'm a little shaky on what you were trying to get across. You did a really fantastic job on layering trees, and capturing the shadows in your lake however. I really enjoy your ability to capture little details such as the footsteps on the 'island'. It adds a very great whimsical touch to the piece.Overall, the concept and execution of this piece work really well together, and convey (to myself at least) the ideal of the body being so easily conquered by an outside force. Its really strong, and very beautiful.
