What hit me first about this piece was the subject's face, which, if she is your intended center of interest, is a good thing! The details on her face are very clear and the repeating red tones throughout the image pull it together. Truly those eyes are wonderful!
I don't know what your intended vision was for this piece, but I would advise doing a bit of research into items like the horse's head and the violin. I think having a good view of those subjects in front of you would give an opportunity for the kind of beautiful detail that I'm seeing in the character's face. Also, the placement of her hair across her chest doesn't seem to have the visible depth as the rest of her hair, and it's hard to tell if that's hair or a lace front of her bodice. The only other piece of advice I can give is in the area of ear placement. It's not so low on the human head and, if raised, might look a bit more natural.
The artistic license that you took with the length of her neck, however, I can duly appreciate. It makes the subject look very regal and graceful. I also like your texture! It lends to a very visually appealing piece. Good work, keep painting!
All your (damn) art is so stunningly amazing. ;w; . I wish I had gotten into watercoloring because amazing things seem to happen when they are put on paper.. or at least when you use them *o* . (I know my comments are very a like.. but you keep producing such beautiful artwork I just can't keep my mouth shut.)
But I would have to say that her arm looks a bit weird - short, perhaps?
The details on her lips and eyes are great and really vivid, making for a great expression. The effect the watercolor brings is also amaizng, I would really like to see it tranferred into ther comic, even if only in black and white. Choice of colors is also great, very moody!
That is so beautiful. It's absolutely ingenious in its simplicity. It's so simple yet complex it's like an oxymoron in and of itself. I love how the eye is drawn to the violin first, missing the fact that there is actually horse behind it. And the girls haaaaair ;3; so beautiful! Well done. ♥
